Students participating in AFJROTC also have an advantage when applying for admission to the Air Force Academy or college ROTC scholarships after . ROTC OFFERS MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND LEAD THAN ANY AREA AT DELAND HIGH SCHOOL . UNIFORMS ARE FREE AND ARE WORN ONE DAY A WEEK.
Students run the program and special emphasis is placed on community service. We participate in the following activities, all planned by the students and supervised by the instructors.

"Integrity first, Service Before Self and Excellence in all we do."
These are the Air Force Core Values. Study them . . . understand them . . . follow them . . . and encourage others to do the same.
